We wouldn’t be surprised if they sold quickly because the one or two elements that caused us not to include a property might be less relevant from buyer to buyer, depending on personal preferences.

You’ll also find a brick fireplace and beamed ceilings in the cozy living room, as well as wood flooring in the kitchen/dining area. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 856 sq. ft. home located in downtown Ojai. The center of town is only .4 miles away, so it’s easily within walking distance of most everything. This would be considered a starter home, and it features what looks to be original wood flooring (re-stained?), with a partially updated kitchen (new cabinets and counters), a decent sized back yard, and a saltillo tile-covered back patio. This home does not have central A/C.

This is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, 1,317 sq. ft. home with potential rental income. The first thing we noticed about this property were the wood beamed ceilings throughout – very warm. The engineered wood floors also look great. The back of the home is where the potential rental income becomes obvious, as there is a kitchenette, a second bathroom, and a sleeping loft.

The kitchen has been updated; the baths have not, but they’re fine as is. There is a pool, but it was being drained and worked on while we were there, so we don’t know if it’s in proper working order. This is a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom, 2,613 sq. ft. home with a pool and partial mountain views. The home is bright inside and features a great floor plan, as well as an updated kitchen and bathroom (not all the bathrooms have been updated). We really liked the back patio/pool area, where the owners did a nice job of creating a fanciful environment with the foliage, fruit trees and hardscape.

This is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, 2,701 sq. ft. home that will make you say “Wow!” the moment you step through the front door. This “wow” factor is due to the huge living room/greatroom area that features high ceilings and large wood beams (see photo #2 on the MLS link). This home most certainly has a farmhouse feel, most notably in the kitchen, greatroom and master bedroom. The wide plank wood flooring adds a nice touch, and while the kitchen and baths have not been updated, their decor certainly adds to the farmhouse charm.

This home definitely has a country feel in layout and decor (especially the kitchen). One bedroom is located downstairs, while the other three (including the master) are located on the second floor. One of our favorite features is the large deck located on the second floor, just off the master bedroom and one of the other bedrooms. What a place to spend an evening, toasting the sunset with those closest to you!
